G7 Countries

The G7 (Group of Seven) is a forum of seven of the world’s most advanced and industrialized economies, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The European Union is also represented at the G7 meetings, bringing the total number of participants to eight. Formed in the 1970s, the G7 serves as a platform for discussing and addressing global economic issues, international security, climate change, and other pressing matters. Although it represents a smaller subset of global nations, the G7 holds significant influence in shaping policies and setting standards that impact the world economy. The G7 countries are united by shared values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, and they collaborate to promote sustainable development, free trade, and global stability.
